Lately, I’ve been thinking about the concept “you are your mother’s daughter.” When I think about how this concept could apply to me, I realize that the answer is complex. 

Aside from our DNA, what does it mean to be our mother’s daughter? Does it mean looking more like her than our father? Does it mean possessing aspects of her personality or character?…
